Your QR code &
going live

The last step before your first order: get your code in front of customers, and flip the switch when you are ready to serve.

In short

Every stall has its own QR code. A customer scans it with their phone camera and lands straight on your menu — no app to download.

Print it big and put it where people already stand: on the counter, on a stand, at the front of the queue.

When you are set up and Stripe is ready, switch your stall on to start taking orders. Pause it anytime to stop the flow.

What your QR code does

Your stall has its own unique QR code. When a customer points their phone camera at it, it opens your stall’s menu in their browser — no app, no sign-up, just your items ready to order. The same code works all day, every event; it does not change.

Because it links straight to your stall, every order that comes from it lands on your board automatically. One code is all a customer needs to find you and pay.

Printing your code

You can download your code from your dashboard in whichever format suits how you want to display it. Print it large and crisp — a code people can scan from a step back keeps the queue moving.

A4 poster

A ready-to-print poster with your logo. Ideal taped to the front of your booth or on a stand.

Sticker (10×10 cm)

A compact square for the counter, a menu board, or a table tent.

PNG image

A high-resolution image to drop into your own signage or screen.

SVG vector

A scalable file for a print shop or large-format banner, sharp at any size.

Where to put it

The best spot is wherever people already wait or look. The goal is that someone can scan without breaking stride.

  • At the front of the queue, so people order while they wait.
  • On the counter at eye level, where customers settle up.
  • On a stand or A-frame a step back from the booth, scannable from a distance.
  • Anywhere it is well lit — a code in shadow is a code nobody scans.

Switching your stall on

When your menu, pickup area and payouts are set up, you go live with a single switch in your dashboard. The moment your stall is on, your QR code is live and customers can place orders — they start arriving on your board straight away.

Going live is not permanent. Think of the switch as opening your shutters for the day: on when you are serving, off when you are not.

One thing to finish first: Stripe

You cannot go live until your Stripe connection is ready to take payments. This is a deliberate guard — it means you never end up taking an order you cannot actually get paid for.

If the switch will not turn on, check that you have finished Stripe’s identity check (see "What is Stripe & what happens to your money"). Once Stripe shows as ready, the switch unlocks.

Pausing when you need to

Switch your stall off whenever you need to stop new orders — you have sold out, you are taking a break, or service is over for the day. Customers who scan your code will see that you are not taking orders right now, rather than placing an order you cannot fill.

Orders already on your board are not affected — finish and hand those out as normal. Switch back on whenever you are ready for more.

Go-live checklist

  1. 1 Finish Stripe’s identity check so your account is ready to take payments.
  2. 2 Download your QR code and print it large and clear.
  3. 3 Place it where people queue, settle up, and can scan in good light.
  4. 4 Switch your stall on to start taking orders.
  5. 5 Pause anytime you sell out or take a break.
